These winning ways would continue in 2009 when AMS replaced the famous TA1 with TA X. They hit the Redline Time Attack series hard with TWO AMS EVO X's in two different classes with TA X in Unlimited AWD and Ryan Gates in his Evo X in Modified AWD. Yet another banner year as these two cars secured the Overall Championships in their respective classes in the Redline series in arse kicking fashion.

TA X. I wish AMS still campaigned a Time Attack car. Perhaps with the resurgence of TA through our friends at Global Time Attack we will see them again in the future.

 

After mopping up on the circuit they turned their focus to rally where Andrew Picard used AMS power in his Evo X to win the North American Rally Championship. And yet again while on top, the brains behind AMS saw a shift and made yet another turn. That shift was the Nissan GTR and we all know where this path leads! I am compelled to point out YET AGAIN that Martin, Arne, Eric, and Tim sat round table and CHOSE to break away from a path of victory and again into unknown territory. As Godzilla hit US shores and the car gained traction so did AMS. They immediately began pushing the GTR to new territory.

OK maybe they have too many GTR's in the shop… Regardless Chris Black readies the Alpha Omega for TX TK12.

 

Leading in to 2010 AMS would scale back on their own racing campaigns in an effort to focus on new platforms. The GTR was at the forefront and it was clear they wanted to do big things. They began finding the limits of the GTR and as quickly as they reared their ugly heads the AMS engineers and technicians would mentally and physically fabricate solutions.

In just 12 months AMS would take the GTR to over 1100 WHP and also put the first GTR deep in the 9's with a 9.1 @ over 160 MPH. All while the crew at AMS was also hard at work on developing parts for the Evolution X and the Porsche 996/997
