A jubilant Power celebrates his first victory of 2015. By winning the race, he moves into 2nd place in the points standings, 5 points behind teammate Montoya. Castroneves fell to 3rd in in the championship, 5 points behind Power. The Penske juggernaut rolls on!
Shameless personal plug: you can indeed see MotoIQ’s intrepid reporter in the background of this interview. Look for the geek in the black flat brimmed hat.
Your Indianapolis Grand Prix Podium. In 3rd, Juan Pablo Montoya, in 2nd, Graham Rahal, and your winner, Will Power.
No racing podium would be complete without a champagne shower!
Even the audience got a bath in bubbly.
With Power’s win, attention turns to the 99th running of the Indianapolis 500. Will Helio Castroneves take a historic 4th win? Will Ryan Hunter-Reay be able to defend his title? Can Graham Rahal become only the second, second generation driver to ever win the 500? Could Marco Andretti break through and become the first third generation driver to win (and break the 54 year Andretti driver's curse)? Or will a new winner emerge? Can Honda beat Chevrolet? Qualifying is May 6th and 7th and you better believe MotoIQ will be there to see who takes the pole. Stay tuned for more!
