Again, the NASA classes competing along with the MPTCC really made things close between the leaders. They not only had to navigate around the slower cars, but also avoid the dirt, debris, and even some crashes while trying to battle for position between them! Makes for exciting racing for everyone except the drivers!

Despite its simple looking nature, the Motul/Hondata Acura Integra of Stepanyan was quick through the more technical portions of the track. However, when the need for torque and speed arised, the bigger and more powerful TSX would start to pull away. The power of the TSX comes with more weight, too.

With more weight, means more abuse on the tires and Race 1 was won by Stepanyan in a last lap pass! Hartanto comes in second, Abbate in third, and the ailing Ho in fourth.

With a win comes the technical inspection. The MPTCC uses a Weight-to-Power ratio rule and with Tuner Under Class its 12:1. With a weight of 2,224 lbs., he had to produce a maximum of 185.33 Horsepower. At the 7s Only Racing Dyno, Stepanyan proves he's within specifications and is your official winner!
