The front of the bodywork hinged on a pair of plates that locks it in place when fully open. I thought this was a pretty cool idea.
The Bensopra front end body work needs to stay in place at over 330k's so this beefy piece of aluminum is part of the retention/latch system.
Once the front end body work is horizontal, it is pushed toward the rear of the car and locks in place using what appears to be the factory latches up front. At the rear, this beefy latch/hook deal keeps it in place also.
Here you catch a glimpse of the intercooler, factory oil cooler, and air filter. The intercooler is an off the shelf Greddy R35 intercooler kit that uses a massive 29R core that measures: 28″ long x 4.5″ deep x 11.9″ tall (710mm L x 115mm D x 302mm H). Greddy cores are tube and fin and are MUCH lighter than the stacked plate cores popular here in the USA and the eBay crap made in China. The air filters are the new Greddy Airinx RZ filters.
With the removal of the factory fenders and bumper, these stainless steel pieces with tabs on them were used to keep the factory plastic wheel wells in place. The tires are 285/35/20 Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600s all around. The wheels are forged Prodrive GC-012Ls.
A Greddy transmission oil cooler kit is used to keep the Dodson transmission fluid temperatures under control. The transmission is beefed up with every available Dodson internal part.
