GRIDLIFE Touring Cup Takes Center Stage at Midwest Festival
Brofunction’s tubeman was stoked to see Kutil having to put in some serious work to hold the lead at the end of Race 4.

In the final corner, Kelly made a last ditch effort and initiated a bold late braking maneuver to shove his nose on the inside of Kutil. A lapped car on the outside made it three wide into turn 11. Despite having identical HP, Kutil was able to stay just inches ahead of Kelly to take the win in race 4. Tuttell on track for his best finish was able to hold off Leichty for 3rd until a broken throttle cable on the last lap ended his race and awarded Leichty with the final podium position. Mr. Consistent finished 4th once again by 2 tenths, while Montgomery and Waddell in his 10th Gen Civic Si earned their best finishes of the weekend with 5th and 6th respectively. The action of the final race was broadcast live, and can be seen below.

In the end, it was the consistency of Eric Kutil with two wins and two seconds that earned him the weekend championship with 92 points. Justin Kelly recovered well after race 1 with three solid finishes and to place 2nd with 83 points and  Aaron Leichty with 3 podiums placed 3rd with 68 points. Mr. Consistent, D.J. Alessandrini, also a rookie, finished you guessed it, 4th at his second ever club race weekend.
