The car’s rolling stock consists of super light but strong forged Volk TE37SL (Super Lap) wheels wrapped with super sticky and low unsprung weight, Hoosier R80 racing slicks.
Hoosier slicks, Volk TE37SLs, Stoptech big brakes and vented front fenders to allow high pressure air a place to go. |
The car’s VQ35DE powerplant is pretty reasonable and any serious enthusiast would be able to easily build a similar motor. The block is fortified with CP forged 96mm pistons hung on Pauter connecting rods forged from 4340 high nickel steel. The CP rings are moly faced ductile iron parts. The stock crankshaft is retained.
The VQ engine is not that wild. Pauter rods, CP pistons and JWT cams are used. K&N fabricated the cool billet large plenum intake manifold. |
The cylinder heads are lightly ported and fitted with Supertech nitrided stainless intake valves with heat resisting inconel as the choice for the exhaust valves. The heads are locked down with ARP head studs and Cometic MLS head gaskets. High lift Jim Wolf Technology C9 cams and valve springs are used.
