As official manufacturer sponsor of the 2009 SEMA show, Ford displayed a number of project cars from the Mustang to the Taurus SHO, and all the “F’ing” cars, the Focus, Fusion, and Fiesta. They even showcased a pimped out Transit Connect utility van. Saleen debuted the S281, a supercharged version of the Mustang GT’s 281 cubic inch 4.6L V8 making 485 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
The Pony cars were corralled into many booths, but there were also dozens of Camaros at the show. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and Hotchkis Performance co-built a 750 horsepower 2010 Camaro powered with an LS7 engine blown by a Magnuson/Eaton TVS2300 supercharger and has inconel exhaust valves. Hotchkis Sport springs, adjustable sway bars, subframe brace, and Lingenfelter-spec Sachs shocks will keep the Camaro fully planted on the ground. The 2010 Yenko Camaro features a 600 horsepower supercharged LS motor, Tremec six-speed manual and 22 inch Yenko billet wheels.
