MotoIQ Radio: Danny George on his role at the Hurricane Sandy Relief Drift and Tyler McQuarrie, Overall Winner of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill
A week before last we had Formula Drift's Jim Liaw and Ryan Sage come on to discuss why they were putting on the Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Drift, now we talk to the guy who came all the way from Las Vegas on his own dime for the cause. Who Is Danny George? A man willing to drive four hours to help the American Red Cross, that's who and we'll talk to him about it! We then talk to the man who won it all at Thunderhill. We'll talk to Tyler McQuarrie about his overall win and what the 25 hours means to him.
7:15pm – 7:45pm PST – First up is Danny George, driver of the Crab Broker Mazda Miata with the V8 in it. You can't miss it just for the sound that a Miata doesn't normally make. He drove all the way from Las Vegas to participate in the Formula Drift Hurricane Sandy Disaster Relief Drift at Irwindale, so we'll talk to him abou that and what made him drive so far for an event that he wouldn't actually be competing in.
7:45PM – 8:00PM PST – Since the world will end Friday, me and Kerryann will talk about our favorite events in Motorsports before we're doomed. Doomed I tell ya'!
8:00PM – CLOSE PST – The 25 Hours of Thunderhill, the most challenging race in grassroots racing, was contested this weekend. Our final guest for the night took home 1st place Overall. Tyler McQuarrie will come on to talk about the 25 Hours of Thunderhill and his overall win in the 00 Motorsports Solutions/Ehret Family Vineyards Porsche 997 Cup Car. Did I mention they finished with 16 laps over his closest rival?!
