Motovicity Ticket to Ride- On Track Shootout!

,

Next up was zero to 60.  The stock Mustang was pretty fast and came ripping out of the gate. However, it was hard to launch consistently without excessive wheelspin.
The stock FR-S was a yawner.  It was very much outclassed by the Mustang but was easy to drive consistently due to its lack of power.  To be fair, it is pretty quick for a naturally aspirated 2 liter engine in a 2850 lb car.  Nowadays we are just spoiled.  The FR-S is capable of high 14 second 1/4 mile times.  At one point we might have thought that was pretty fast.  It is faster than the original Fox bodied 5.0 liter Mustangs!
With a less boat like suspension and bigger tires, the Ticket to Ride Mustang was faster and much easier to get off the line.
With its HKS supercharger greatly boosting the FA20’s output and providing smooth easy to drive linear power, the Ticket To Ride FR-S was much faster than stock.  The wider tires and firm suspension made it easier to launch as well.
Chris Marion adjusts the Ticket To Ride Mustang’s tire pressure for the next test, the skidpad.
Jared and Seton from SpeedForSale Motorsports make some tire pressure adjustments to the Ticket To Ride FR-S before the skidpad testing. Though the TTR cars weren’t competing against each other, boys will be boys, haha!
