With a large part of the handling equation handled thanks to the Eibach Pro-Street coilovers and completion of the braking system via the StopTech Sport Kit, it was then time to start looking into the reliability of the Motovicity Ticket to Ride Scion FR-S. We're specifically talking about the drive belts and fluids. Once again Gates Performance Belts and Royal Purple stepped up and contributed to the Ticket to Ride builds.
The FR-S' serpentine belt was replaced with this high performance belt from Gates' RPM Micro-V line (part# K060815). The Gates RPM Micro-V belts feature high-modulus, low-stretch polyester tensile cord which will provide extra strength and unmatched reliability. These belts are said to last up to 3 times longer than the standard serpentine belt replacement. For a bit Gates was making their performance belts in blue, but now all belts will be transitioning to black except for their timing belts. 
Royal Purple’s HPS line of high performance oils are fortified with a high level of zinc/phosphorus anti-wear additive and Royal Purple’s proprietary Synerlec® additive technology. HPS also has exceptional oxidation stability which extends oil life and allows for more miles driven between oil changes saving you time, money and reducing the impact on the environment. Unlike many racing oils, HPS's advanced synthetic solvency reduces engine deposits and keeps engines clean.
