Pro Italia’s Cafe Desmo – 2012

,

A 1966 Ducati 125 sport single cylinder.  The brakes look to be simple drum style and the suspension might just be simple elastomers.  My knowledge of 1960s suspension is non-existent, but it reminds me of the first generation mountain bike suspension forks of the 1990s which just used elastomers.  1960's Ducati technology = 1990/2000's Honda technology used all over Southeast Asia (lots of fun in Vietnam!)

The red cafĂ© racer is a 1959 Ceccato Turismo with a whole 100cc of displacement providing the power!  The bike behind it is a Gilera which is an Italian company founded in 1909.

Not much instrumentation required.  The Ceccato has a speedo and the Gilera has a tach.  Well, the Gilera does have an extra passenger with some red horns.

What's this thing?  A Benelli Trek Amazonas?
Benelli started making motorcycles in 1911.  If you're familiar with guns, Benelli also makes some of the most badass shotguns in the world; the two businesses are now separate entities however.  In case you didn't see  Benelli emblem on the fairings, you can see the name on the side cover, head, and valve cover gasket.  That is one very nice looking three runner exhaust manifold.  In case you were wondering about the curved radiator, motorcycle typically used curved radiators to get more surface area within the limited width of the bike chassis.

“The American” Deus Ex Machina motorcycle has a Harley engine at its heart.
