Another team, Socal Sliders meet up in Top 8 – Cisneros versus Kilada. The two of them have driven together for many years, which really showed in their battle. Both drivers had a strong showing, but Kilada got lost in Cisneros’ smoke on the bank and ran a low line, giving Cisneros the win.

A Top 4 battle was Cabrera versus Charpentier – the green cars! This was a super heated battle. Both drivers had a consistent line, tons of smoke, and maintained close proximity. The judges called a OMT! The second battle was still very close – Cabrera stuck it to him on the chase, but Charpentier was stronger on both runs, allowing him to move onto the podium.

A statement from Cisneros:
“Very excited to be back at the House of Drift in Irwindale. The car was running great, broke a couple of suspension arms during practice but got them all taken care of. Winning there was a dream come true, was emotional having my friends and family there see everything we went through, but so satisfying, I’m pumped for the next round, more focused then ever now. See you at Round 3!”
