There is plenty of clearance between the front wheels to the AP Racing brake setup.
There’s massive clearance at the rear of the car too between the wheels and brakes.
Okay, y’all have been waiting long enough for the weight information. Keep in mind that the corner scales have some level of accuracy. The Antigravity 60Ah battery shaved a massive 33lbs compared to the factory battery; the Antigravity battery comes in at about 23lbs and the OEM battery at 56lbs. The left-to-right weight distribution only shifted by ~0.1%, but taking off all of this weight off from the front, the overall weight distribution shifted ~0.6% rearwards. The battery sits up high in the car too, so taking off this much weight from up high will lower the overall center of gravity for better handling. Notice that the cross weights are a bit funky.
After I put on the new wheel and tire package, the cross weights evened out with a very nearly 50/50 split left to right. The reason for this was due to the one new Falken Azenis all-season tire I had on the left front after the highway debris incident; full thread depth on the left front tire and the other three corners being nearly worn out caused the funkiness in the cross weights. With new wheels and tires now on the car, the cross-weights evened back out. I forgot to take a picture, but when I removed the car from the scales, the scaled read 0.0lbs on all four corners which gives more confidence in the accuracy of the measurements. When I first turned on the scales, they all read a few pounds off from zero and I had to zero them out.
The car gained about 17lbs total putting on the new wheel and tire setup from the old and worn out setup. The wheels are smaller diameter, but wider. The tires are also wider and at full rubber content. From what I can find, the factory 20″ x 8″ front wheels are about 21.5 lbs while the 20″ x 10″ rears are about 24 lbs. The Titan7 T-P5 wheels are in the ballpark of 21 lbs and 23 lbs respectively; so, it’s a small mass reduction going to the new wheels. Tirerack says the Potenza RE-71RS tires in my sizes are 26lbs and 29lbs front and rear respectively when new. Tirerack says the factory Pirelli PZeros are only 21lb and 26lbs respectively when new. That’s about a 16lbs difference in tire weight, new to new condition. So, the weight gain after installing the new wheel and tire setup checks out.
I do have center caps, but I hadn’t installed them yet in this picture. The center caps from Titan7 are aluminum, so figure they’ll add a fraction of a pound for all four of them. This picture captures the cleanest the wheels will ever be for the rest of their lives. They will be coated in brake dust shortly.
