I figured there had to be a way to adjust the setting using the Launch X431. Sure enough, under the Instrument Cluster system and then the TPMS system, I found these settings to adjust.

The factory target tire pressure for the 20″ summer tires is 2.1 bar (~30.5psi) with the ‘comfort’ setting enabled.

Just for fun, I adjusted the tire options shown in the gauge cluster menu. My car as-delivered showed the 20″ Summer with 19″ and 18″ Winter options.

I set the new nominal pressure targets to 1.8 bar and no more issues.

When I first got the Launch X431, I was digging through all the menus to see what it could adjust and I remembered the tire circumference values. My calculated value for the rear circumference of the 275/35/19″ was basically spot-on with the initial value already set. For sure, based on the (distance speed) label, these values are used for calculating vehicle speed. I wonder how much they play into the Porsche Stability Management and ABS systems too.

Because I went taller on the front compared to factory, my new value for the circumference of 2131mm is significantly more than the initial value of 2045mm.
Weight reduction in a vehicle is always a good thing and the Antigravity battery made it super easy to remove over 1% of vehicle mass. The mass was also removed from a high location which lowered the overall center of gravity of the vehicle. It’s a no-brainer upgrade for weight reduction and it cranks up the engine more easily than the factory battery. The Antigravity battery in the Porsche application also has the nifty Restart feature with the remote key fob, so no more worries about a dead battery and getting locked out of the car. Swapping the OEM battery for the Antigravity is a no-compromise weight reduction and performance enhancement upgrade. There’s nothing else I plan to do for weight reduction as any other modification would be a compromise in daily driver friendliness.
The Titan7 T-P5 wheels have no fitment issues on my setup, shave a little mass, and allow me to run wider tires. They look pretty sweet too. As for the Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires, everyone knows they are super sticky. Because I went to a smaller wheel diameter, I fit a bigger sidewall for a better ride than the factory setup. My setup actually has the front and rear tire diameters and sidewall heights nearly equal compared to the factory setup with the shorter front sizing. For daily driver use, my setup makes the car more friendly to steep driveways. The only question in my head is if I’ll get any fender rub on the front at the track as I’m going to be pushing the stock soft spring rates very hard. I’ll probably do a little fender roll and we’ll see what happens at the track.
