Project Bugeye GDA WRX: Fixing the Clutch with Exedy

Howard inspects the transmission to find all of the sources of the oil leaks. There is oil everywhere.

The rear main seal is pouring oil as well. What a mess.

The rear main seal was replaced with a brand new OEM part. Howard is removing the seal carrier here.

The new Exedy racing flywheel is being torqued down. The Exedy flywheel is about 13.5 lbs and the stock flywheel is 22 lbs.

The new Exedy Stage I pressure plate is being prepped with a new release bearing. Being a pull type clutch, it has to be installed from the inside of the pressure plate.
