At around 308whp, we’re at around 96whp/liter on this 3.2-liter engine—so close to 100. Will we achieve it? You’ll have to wait a couple of weeks for Part 3. In the meantime, let me take you through some of the cars at Modified by KC’s shop. They’ve always got cool stuff to look at.
This picture has special meaning to me because it shows my wife’s college car (how old must she be??!!) in its final resting place. It passed away and I literally coasted the MX-3 to the shop at 221K miles. Sitting behind was her next car until November of 2012, when I picked up our Project E46 M3. The red sedan was our two-baby hauler (but now we have three). The E36 M3 made over 260whp all-motor. It was sold last November to a local friend and is still sitting pretty at nearly 190k miles. Can anyone guess what magazine this car was built as a project in?
Next we’ll attempt to achieve the magical, all-motor 100whp-per-liter goal, as well as test our new tires and big brake kit with full G-force, time-to-distance and acceleration analysis. The things we do for our readers. Stay tuned!
