UUC manufactures the E46 M3-adaptive hats for the Spec37 GT Wilwood rotor. Each hat is CNC-machined from aircraft quality aluminum alloy and secured with high strength stainless steel bolts.
UUC also manufactures the brackets needed to fit the Wilwood caliper onto an E46 M3 hub. The brackets radial-mount the caliper in such a way that a 345-355mm (13.6-14.0in) Wilwood rotor fits. These brackets are made of high-strength steel and are mil spec heat-treated for further strengthening as well.
The Wilwood rotor and UUC hat come together with UUC-supplied stainless hardware and red Loctite.
Securing the rotor to the hat is simple and a star pattern was used—like when tightening wheels—to evenly distribute the clamping pressure.
Here’s a look at the rotors ready for installation. 14in rotors are big, and when holding one in our hands it made us wonder how on earth these would fit inside the 18in D-Force wheels.
