With all our shifter parts installed, the clamping screws on the cable ends were left loose for the adjustment part of the install.
Adjusting the Shifter
Inside the car we needed to pop the shifter boot off to access a positioning hole in the base of the shifter. The shift kit comes with a locking pin that locks the shifter in its “Home” position so it can be correctly located to the corresponding position on the transmission.
The aforementioned locking pin.
The aforementioned locking pin inserted into the locating holes on the shifter and shifter base. This puts the shift lever in its “home” position.
