Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 front and rear tires with two track days, 35 auto-x runs, and 14k miles. Front tread depth: 4.2mm outside, 4.8mm middle, 2.3mm inside. I’m running a little bit of toe out on the front which accounts for the inside wear. Rear tread depth: 3.6mm outside, 3.7middle, 3.0 inside. Even with -2.8 deg of camber, there’s pretty even wear across the tire. Looks like it’s time for a rotation; this will be only the second rotation since I’ve mounted them. I’m extremely pleased with the wear of these tires as I should be able to get about 20k miles out of them. |
After this latest round of track testing, the need for an oil cooler is clearly evident. It’s time to get off my ass and do it. I will be doing a custom setup different than what most people would do, so stay tuned. I’m going to make a slight change to the suspension too with the goal of reducing some of the looseness.
