Project S2000 – Part 10 – Track Testing Revised KW Clubsports and Earl’s Oil Cooler

,

The rear pads appear to be wearing about twice as fast as the front pads.  Maybe faster than that even.

As for the handling, the stiffer front springs and the corner balance did the trick.  I’m very happy with the balance of the car now.  Chuckwalla has long sweeping corners where it’s easy to approach the limit of grip.  I tried pushing past the limit mid-corner a few times to see how the car would react.  The result was a slight push, just how I wanted it.  Before, the rear always felt like it wanted to swing out, now it feels composed.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE-11s (front and rear) after 11 track sessions, 60 auto-x runs and 19k miles on the street.  They’re just about at the tread wear indicators.  I love these things!
