Next up, it was time to reach out to our friends at Cervinis. They’ve just released a new ram air style hood called “The Stalker” featuring a large air inlet opening and heat extractor vents.
The quality is outstanding and arrived perfectly color-matched. The hood, grille, and fascia have done wonders in separating Project S550 from the herd.
Cervinis is also developing a vent that will direct air from the scoop straight into the air box, which will be a nice addition once it’s released.
The quality of the Cervinis hood is second to none and the fit was perfect. The hood does not require pins and even retains the factory latch and windshield washer nozzles.
Next up, it was time for some new wheels. While there are a number of manufacturers making wheels specifically for S550 Mustangs, there was one design in particular that caught our eye. The team over at Need4Speed Motorsports has designed a very aggressive wheel based on the GT350R seven-spoke carbon fiber wheel, which they’ve dubbed the Project6gr Seven.
While based on the GT350R wheel, it’s much more concave and is available in both 19 and 20 inches with widths of 10 – 11.5 inches. We opted to run the 20×10 in the front, paired with a 275/35/20 tire, and a 20×11 in the rear, with a 315/35/20.
