Project S550 Part 3: Looking Better with Wide Project6gr Seven Wheels, Cervinis Ram Air Hood, AirDesign Front Fascia & More!

,

The FRPP quad-tip exhaust is identical to the Borla S-type that we previously installed.  The only change is a slightly different X pipe that looks a little cleaner.

We had to remove the rear bumper to switch out the valance.

The bumper and new valance reinstalled.

The new valance is lower and much more aggressive than the stock Performance Package version. You can also see the blank deck lid; no more chrome GT badge for Project S550.

For some final touches, we went back to SpaceCitySpy for a set of their fender badges to replace the stock 5.0 badges. While we would have preferred to simply remove the badges altogether, Ford unfortunately chose to put alignment holes behind the badges, which makes removal impossible without doing some bodywork. We also picked up a set of carbon fiber mirror caps to further tie-in our black-and-silver theme. And to top it off, both literally and figuratively, we decided to wrap the roof in satin black vinyl. A black roof is actually a factory option now that was unavailable when we placed our order and we love the way it draws the windows right up into the roof of the car.

These key changes have completely transformed the exterior of the car. It no longer gets lost in the parking lot and is turning its fair share of heads at the local meets and car & coffee gatherings.

The SpaceCitySpy badges cover the alignment holes perfectly and match the dark chrome exhaust tips.
