Project SEMA Scion Tuner Challenge FR-S, Working on the Cosmetics

,

The APR brake vent kit also had these carbon air guide plates that take the air from the vent hoses and feed it to the brake rotors.
To save weight and of course mostly for looks we got a Seibon rear trunk lid. We have had experience with the perfect fit and finish of our Seibon carbon parts on our own Project FR-S. We had a similar positive Seibon experience with the SEMA FR-S.
The Esprit carbon fiber airdam was chosen for its clean integration with the factory front bumper’s styling.  The look we wanted was something that looked stock but more aggressive. The airdam fit perfectly and the installation was pretty easy.  Mines Japan chose this bumper to match our theme and sent it to us.
Mines sourced these Japanese Avest mirrors with integrated LED turn signals that were used for a nice custom touch.
The factory mirrors were disassembled so the turn signal parts could be integrated into them.
The turn signals are bolted to the lower part of the mirrors shells.
The turn signal wire was routed through the door following the wires for the mirror adjusting motors.
Next the wires are soldered to the stock turn signal wires so the mirror lights will work in sync with the stock turn signals.  Installing the mirrors was actually one of the more time consuming cosmetic modifications on this project!
