Project Toyota Supra Mark IV: Part 14 – Precision Turbo’s GEN2 PT6870 CEA turbo!

,

Showing to its customers a picture of the whole PTE family is a rather nice touch by Precision.

Inside the box, there are decals as well as a sheet with specific instructions not to remove the oil feed fitting (or you have to send the turbo back!). That fitting contains a tiny oil orifice that is perfectly timed from the factory, and any tampering with it can cause catastrophic results to the turbocharger.

There is never any need to worry about the turbo getting scratched, let alone damaged, when it’s packaged properly this way

This is Precision’s new 68mm GEN2 CEA (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) billet compressor wheel, which is machined from 2618 aluminum forging. For the past year it’s been the talk of the town, especially for its high-horsepower capabilities at such low boost when compared to lots of other turbos of the same size.

The dual ball-bearing center cartridge is both oil and air cooled.
