Project Tundra, Modernizing the Front End and Improving Lighting

Our Tundra has been in service as our shop truck for 14 long years.  We have been updating the truck’s looks over the past few years with Morimoto LED headlights with daylight running lamps and Diode Dynamics LED fog lights.  We decided to further update our front-end looks with a grille from T-Rex.  We wanted a grill with a clean, not gaudy look that would allow good airflow to the radiator, oil cooler, and intercooler.  Since most grilles on the market look like they belong on a jacked-up Bro Dozer, the T-Rex grille was one of the only ones that looked acceptable to us.

The T-Rex grille also came with a 20″ ZroadZ LED light bar that was cleanly integrated into the grille and did not block airflow any more than the stock grille.  The light bar has a huge 9702 lumens and 100 watts of output.

The new grill probably has better airflow than the stock part with fewer things to block the airflow hanging in place.

We are not going to show the installation since the instructions are available online. The lightbar is slim with a generous heatsink and mounts with sturdy brackets.  The grill fits very well like OEM but requires some minor cutting of the stock grille.  The grille has a lifetime structure and 3 year finish warranty.  The ZroadZ lightbar uses top-quality US-made Cree LED lights with a combo beam pattern, IP68 and IP69K (Ingress Protection) protection ratings for water immersion and spray resistance, and a 50000-hour life span.

The grill comes with an OEM-quality wiring harness for the light bar that routes very nicely and makes the install plug and play easy.
