Project Tundra, Modernizing the Front End and Improving Lighting

For a more sano installation, we used this illuminated light switch that fits in an unused factory blank space off of Amazon!

The switch lights up to indicate that the lights are working.

During the daylight, you can see that the light bar is very bright, much brighter than the head and fog lights!

After we had the Grille on for a few days, we noticed that the old stock hood struts would not hold the hood up consistently on a cold day.  We ordered some heavy-duty hood struts from Lift Supports Depot to replace our 14-year-old stock struts.

Our new struts were slightly bigger around than the OEM parts and were rated at about 20% more lift power.  They held our heavier hood up with plenty of lift to spare and at $39 each, were much cheaper than OEM Toyota.
