Rally in the 100 Acre Wood 2014

,

The service area stays pretty busy, as fans vie for attention of their favorite driver hoping to get an autograph…
…or a high five.  Pastrana didn’t have much time for his fans as he needed to ice his recently dislocated ankle, but he had enough time to make this little dude’s whole day.
Another of the top competitors had to drop out due to mechanical issues, Antoine L’Estage’s Evo X was over heating after stage 13, forcing him into a DNF.  This bumped Pastrana into second place and Yeoman into third.
Adam Yeoman and Jordan Schulze of FY Racing ended Saturday with a 1:46:25.0, good enough for a third place overall finish.  This was the team’s second national podium since joining the series in 2011.
At the end of the day, Block and Gelsomino would take first in the event with a final time of 1:37:38.8.  This was their seventh overall win at 100 Acre Wood out of eight attempts, the most wins of any team to compete there.  Even though Higgins dropped out early on Saturday, Pastrana would keep SRT USA on the podium with a second place overall finish with a time of 1:42:37.3.
Roberts stayed in first for SP throughout Saturday, although the rest of the field didn’t leave him much breathing room.  The plaid STi finished first in class and fourth overall with a1:49:38.7.
The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place spots in SP kept getting shuffled around through the day with Dillon Van Way ultimately finishing the day in 2nd with a 1:50:27.0, this marks his fifth consecutive podium finish for SP.
