The 2011 season will see an end to the High Performance Driving Event (HPDE) feature of Redline Time Attack weekends, as well as a departure of the Enthusiast Class of competition. Redline Time Attack is currently negotiating with several HPDE organizers to find a home for Redline Time Attack “Pro/Am” events, where grassroots and up-and-coming enthusiasts can hone their skills, under what has become the standard for time attack rules.
The 2011 Redline Time Attack season will consist of 10 events throughout the Western United States, with the season running from early March to early November. The first event of the 2011 season will be held at Willow Springs International Raceway the weekend of March 5th & 6th. The complete 2011 Season Calendar will be announced prior to the end of September.
Redline will be introducing the all-new Pro Track Challenge, an exciting new format of road racing, that will round out the weekend of racing activities. The accompanying Circuit Battles television program, airing on the Versus Network, will follow the 16 Track Challenge teams at each of the 10 Redline weekends. The significant increase in public awareness and fan following generated by the Circuit Battles television program and Pro Track Challenge competition will benefit everyone participating in and associated with Redline events.
MotoIQ will be the series’ official online media partner and will be covering the events from an insider’s view and as a participant. MotoIQ will feature driver and team profiles as well as our trademark in-depth tech dissections of the machines.
