A great feature of the bike is it has reverse! You can put the bike in a slow mode which allows it to move up to 1.7mph in forward or reverse. This is excellent for parking in tight spaces and on sloped spots. It really sucks pulling into a parking spot on a motorcycle only to realize it’s sloped downhill.
So how do you charge the Energica Eva? With this charger which plugs into a standard 110V wall outlet. It’ll charge up the bike completely overnight. This would solve my dislike of having to fill up my motorcycle with gas because we have those gas vapor nozzle things here in Cali that I have to pull up with my hand if I want to top off my tank.
The charge port location is under the seat. It has two ports, normal charging rate port and the fast charger port. There’s a fan for some kind of cooling, I guess to help keep the electronics associated with charging cool.
The Energica Eva is a legit quick and fun motorcycle. The nimble handling combined with the instant torque of the electric motor makes the Eva very quick to maneuver through traffic. Not much will hang with it from a dig, so it’s perfect for getting off the line first when the light turns green (after checking for cars running red lights of course). It’s got real performance sized tires, brakes, and suspension so it’ll turn and brake like a performance bike in addition to accelerating. The best part? You can easily charge it to full using just the 110V outlet in your garage. Say goodbye to gas stations. Yeah, this thing is awesome.
