1964 chevy corvair vanThis 1964 Chevy Corvair drag race van is packing considerably more power than the air-cooled original in the form of a 540 cubic inch big block Chevy with twin jackshaft driven superchargers. The engine is said to produce more than 1000 horsepower at only 8psi of boost.
HPA VW Scirocco SEMA 2013You can't purchase a Volkswagen Scirocco from the dealer in North America which is something that I think thoroughly sucks. The only way to get your hands on one is by purchasing one of these HPA turbo VR6 monsters. This Scirocco was wrapped in white and then covered in Sharpie signatures, hashtags, graffiti art, twitter handles and the like as a fundraiser for cancer research and treatment.
SEMA 2013Speaking of vehicle wrapping I learnt a thing or two while watching these guys in action. Come to SEMA they said, wrap cars all day, it'll be fun they said.
Fiat 500L SEMA 2013The Fiat 500L is a second new model for Fiat dealers to sell. It's an important vehicle for them as dealerships have been struggling with only the Fiat 500 and its derivatives to fill the showrooms until now. I couldn't help noticing how the decal on the side seemed to spell out “FML”. I'm pretty sure that was unintentional.
E92 BMW SEMA 20133 years ago when I attended SEMA Standard Suspension had several logos adorning their booth that read STD Suspension. As an offshore company they likely didn't know any better. This year I couldn't spot any “STD” logos so someone has likely explained to them that STD is not just an abbreviation for standard.
Weather Tech SRT Challenger SEMA 2013Our final restomod example is the 1971 Weather Tech SRT Challenger packing a 2011 factory SRT 6.4L Hemi V8 backed by a TKO 6 speed manual transmission. The Challenger is running custom billet wheels in a staggered 17/18″ look which I love.
Jaguar sema 2013The 2014 Jaguar XK range begins at a base of $79,000 for the XK touring coupe and tops out at $174,000 with this 550 horsepower supercharged XKR-S GT.
