,
After the notching and sanding, you end up with this very well-fitting and clean joint of tubes ready to be welded.
The back part of the chassis is coming together along with the mocking up of the rear subframe.
The front subframe is mocked up with the right-hand drive steering rack. The car is going to be driven in Australia after all.
The team decided on creating a big transmission tunnel. Why? It will allow the end-user to fit just about any tranny they want to go with whatever engine they choose to use.
In going this route of the big tranny tunnel, the driver’s seat and foot box had to be moved rearward a bit.
And this is where we leave everything sitting… (sorry, please excuse my weak attempt at humor). Next time, hopefully we’ll see the front and rear subframes attached with the suspension. Stay tuned.
