The Bloodmaster’s Axe: Tony Angelo’s Scion FR-S

Now, that would depend on your definition of “crazy” or “insane.” It's not a V8, it's not a 2JZ, but it used to displace 2.4 liters. Now it's stroked out, with a turbo and it's going to have nitrous to boot! That's right, the engine that powered the tC will now power the FR-S to 800 Horsepower with a Garrett Turbo and a BC stroker crankshaft and internals. If 2012 was any proof, the turbo 4 has not attained Moksha! Not yet, anyway.

With the engine out, it was time to remove the interior. However, there was someone knocking at the door. Who could it be at this time? Could someone think the old garage was open again and needed an oil change?

Nope, it was the rest of the Bloodmasters! Coming in, raising hell, and ready to help Tony at a moments notice!

Even that infamous Matt Petty came out! What nice guys those Bloodmasters!

Well, Ok, the help they provided was to drink the beer, test out the old seats, smoke cigarettes, and supervise.

I know, Bear, humans are crazy animals. At least you're taking it well.

As customary among those who worship all things car and automotive, you must do burnouts and donuts on your new garage with mini-bikes. Don't ask how it started, just go with it.

Well, despite the “help,” the car is now gutted, engine-less, and ready to be transformed into a proper race car. It's now at MA Motorsports where it will get a FD legal cage, a quick change rear end fitted into the chassis, motor mounts for the stroker 2AZ, and other final touches to the car. It's a short road to Long Beach, but TAangelo Racing, the Bloodmasters, and the Hoonigans are all working hard to make sure Tony gets there in 2013. There is much work to be done, there is much work the car must do for Hurricane Sandy victims.

When we see Tony Angelo and the FR-S again, it will be a much different car. Keep it here on MotoIQ for the next step in the process to make the Hurricane Sandy Relief FR-S into a Formula Drift ready machine!
