The Life of Opy: The Nissan Juke Multi-Purpose Racer Part 4 – To Laguna Seca and Beyond!

,

It was time to do some more Multi-Purpose Racing, this time hitting up the Global Time Attack series to knock out a fast lap.
So I missed this during the cage build…. But Lars did some extensive suspension rework here. To get longer travel dampers to fit without making Opy look like a brodozer, the shock towers were modified with these additions to move the top mounting point higher in the body.
These extensions add a few inches of suspension travel which comes in handy in the rally world.
The rear got similar treatment with new sheet metal fabricated to weld in place of the old mounting point about to get cut out.
With the new sheet metal welded it, the rear coil over fits snugly.
Cooling issues? What cooling issues?
