TUDOR United Sports Car Championship: Road America

One year ago, the American Le Mans Series and the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series were at this very track, Road America, for the first and only time together as two separate series. This year, Road America played host to the newly formed combined series of TUDOR United Sports Car Championship. The new series combines classes from both ALMS and GRAND-AM into new classes for TUDOR USCC, Prototype (P), Prototype Challenge (PC), GT Le Mans (GTLM) and GT Daytona (GTD).

Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin is a 4.048-mile asphalt track with 14 turns. The American Le Mans Series made its first visit to Road America on July 7, 2002, and it is a favorite track for drivers in all classes. The combination of high-speed straights, heavy braking zones, fast sweeping corners, and a variety of elevation changes provides great racing for drivers and fans alike.
The SRT Vipers are sporting new paint schemes this season, and they are beautiful!Leaving the Brickyard Grand Prix, some of the top cars to watch were the SRT Vipers that have placed 2nd and 3rd at the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen and Canadian Tire Motorsports Park. Ben Keating and Jeroen Bllekemolen also won the GTD class at CTMP in their #33 Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper SRT GT3-R. Johnathan Bomarito and Kuno Wittmer took the #93 SRT Viper to GTLM victory at the Brickyard Grand Prix a few short weeks ago. Goossens and Farnbacher were also looking to repeat their 2013 ALMS victory at Road America in their #91 SRT Motorsports Viper.
