The Deltawing heading into turn 3 at Road America.

Throughout the day, the Deltawing was showing great speed. It ran as high as 5th place and finished in the top 10 overall. Even after rebuilding the entire car after a fire four weeks ago at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the car was back in peak form; closely battling the #01 DP during the last laps of the race.

Shortly after the lap 38 caution, Johannes van Overbeek got into the rear of  the #42 car driven by Olivier Pla, spinning him into the kitty litter of Turn 3. Bringing out yet another full course caution. This eliminated the need for fuel stops due to extra time in the pits. The caution also left the #5 Corvette DP of Joao Barbosa out on track, having taken an earlier pit stop, which promoted him to the race lead.

The #8 Starworks Motorsports takes the checkered flag just ahead of the #25 8 Star Motorsports team.

After leading most of the day, the #25 8 Star Motorsports of Sean Reyhall gave up the lead. Later in the race, he made some contact with #8 of Renger van der Zande leaving pit road. Zande held the lead after that and won the race in the PC Class.
