Five years ago, our Honda EP3 Civic made a name for itself in Hoonigan’s Space Race, beating cars like an FK8 Type R and even Spoon’s time attack Civic. Then… we basically forgot about it. Used as a shop thrasher, fuel disposal unit, and all-around beater, this EP3 lived a hard life with questionable gas, long oil change intervals, and zero love.
But here’s the surprise: we recently put it on the dyno at Church Automotive Testing and it made 144 horsepower — better than stock — and reminded us why this little car is still so fun. It’s easy to drive, handles great, gets decent mileage, and somehow gets more attention than our “cool” cars.
So we’re bringing it back. Fully street legal, California-friendly, and still happy on crappy gas — but faster, better looking, and even more fun. This is the start of the EP3 revival. Stay tuned.
