During the fitting process Costa checks the fit of the tubes on the car many times making sure that he does not over cut the tube.

Two cool ideas here, Costa uses light bungee cords to hold the tubes in close to final position and he also uses a sharpie to make check marks to make sure he is clocking the tubes correctly.

Before welding the tube is chamfered on the outside to help weld penetration.  Scotchbrite is used to clean all oxidation in the weld area, yes even stainless has an oxide layer.  Cleanliness is important for strong welds.

The coolest idea of them all.  Costa clamps tubes to be welded together with a hose clamp with holes drilled in it.  The clamp enables Costa to pre assemble the tube sections on the car before he welds anything.  This is really cool.  Check out what the holes are for.
