2015 SEMA: Wrapup

The Rywire Integra GT3 was displayed at CSF Radiator's booth. The built K24 block and ported K20 head also features a Precision Turbo 6265 turbo and JDL manifold that exits front and offcenter. A Quiafe sequential gearbox is hooked up to functioning paddle shifter system and Honda HPD three stage dry sump system, Rywired wiring harness, Motec engine management, Eibach R2 coilovers, custom roll cage and more prepare this thing for the track. 

SCCA and NASA relaxed it's rules around camber adjustment for the Spec Miata class. Whiteline responded with these urethane offset bushings for the front control arms to correct the camber for better chassis control. Whiteline also released some new camber kits for the Suburu Impreza WRX and STi. New logo too! #gripactivatedDeatschwerks shows off their new products. The HDEV1700 Ford EcoBoost GDI Injectors offer a 30% increased flow over OE applications and are a drop-in replacement for almost all the “SEMA Hottest Cars” lineup, the Focus ST/RS, Mustang, and F150. Show all day and parties late into the night (er, morning?) can get exhausting. 

For most of us, SEMA is the one time a year we hit up the clubs and try to party it up like our college days. Tuesday kicked off with a +1 to MIQ devotee George Peters invite for free sushi, carving station, and drinks at the Alldata party at Foundation Room at the top of the Mandalay Bay overlooking the Global Rally Cross track. Later that night MIQ hit up the Honda Soiree at Hakkasan nightclub at MGM Grand where their premium beverage selections (they brand their ice with their logo!) will empty your wallet faster than a day at an F1 karting track but the VIP tables have universal cell phone chargers though I doubt they planned for my rotary flip phone! Wednesday night was jam-packed at Marque nightclub at Cosmopolitan for the Gran Turismo party where Sung Kang's 1973 Datsun 240Z was chosen “Best in Show” for the 13th annual GT Awards. Thanks to Snail Performance and Night Motorsport for inviting a few stiletto-heeled chicks into their VIP area to party sitting down. Late night munchies were an always welcome Secret Pizza followed by a barefoot walk of shame to the car. As usual, PlayStations were available to test your GT skills.
