A Ride with VCMC AutoCross!

Heidi's 2015 Nismo Z is a pristine example of Nissan's coupe and is classed AS. Undoubtedly it would be great fun out on the course.

There's nothing like an autocross to bring out a wide range of cars. Honda's Fit is an example of a really awesome little car. It can be a workhorse throughout the week and come the weekend, you can load it up with spare tires and gear, head out to an autocross or time attack course, and have fun pushing it to the limits all day long. Don's 2009 Fit runs in STF with a raw time literally right in the middle of all participating cars and in the top quarter based upon PAX.

Gary (black helmet) and Pat (white helmet) are a husband and wife team who have been autocrossing Corvettes for over thirty years. They run in the SSRL class. Gary did the novice track walk and was a wealth of knowledge that he willingly shared. If you're new to the sport – take advantage of the opportunity to listen and learn from those around you. Gary and Pat just picked up this 2008 Corvette Z06 last fall and are breaking it in on the autocross course.

There is just something timeless about RX-7's of this era. You simply have to love them. Joseph's 1993 RX-7 had a distinctive engine sound that indicates that a bit of work has been done under the hood. Classed in SSM, the car looked awesome from a distance and probably even better close up.

Speaking of timeless, Brad's 1997 MG roadster is absolutely a classic. It looks and sounds fantastic. I loved watching it take the course while it was pouring/snowing and even more when things dried up a little bit.

The sweeping corners in the course layout, coupled with the mix of snow and rain falling from the sky, led to some great drifting. This BMW has unquestionably had some power added under the hood.
