A Ride with VCMC AutoCross!

,

The MazdaSpeed 3 is a classic sleeper. Christian's 2012 MazdaSpeed looks so good out on the course and finished with the 14th fastest raw speed of the day. It's in the STX class.

Cam's 2011 Subaru STi was classed in BS and certainly had a traction advantage during the wet stuff. He and his son, Doug, were out for their first event (Doug was Cam's pit crew manager) and from what I observed they both had a great time.

Possibly Doug is checking out the competition for his dad, Cam. Or more likely selecting his next ride! Matt and John shared the wheel of this 2005 S2000 with a hardtop option which rans in the AS class.

This BMW was built for carving cones! Classed in SM, Adam's 1991 318is really looked good out on the course.

You simply have to love Miatas. They are fantastic cars that are virtually indestructible. I understand that Matt's 1992 Miata runs is CSP and that it has been away from the course for a year while undergoing some improvements.

Of course, there is nothing like the high reving power of the Honda S2000. Marlon has done a fair bit of work on it. Under the hood it has a Gold Wrapped K&N FIPK (fuel injected performance kit), PLM Header, T1R 70R-em single exit exhaust. Suspension is Karcepts JRZ RS Pro with 750/650 springs. Tires are Bridgestone RE71Rs. G-LOC R6 brake pads bring it to a stop.

Thanks to Marlon Perez for giving permission to use this video of Nick driving Marlon's Honda S2000 on the VCMC Warm-UP course.
