ALMS Laguna Seca Monterey 2010 American Le Mans Series

With the first of two Prototype Lite races in the books, it was now time for the main event!  Once the Lites were off track, the ALMS cars immediately started making their way towards pre-grid.  So I grabbed some water and started making my way up the track.  Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca is right in the middle of a National Forest so you can imagine the kind of terrain surrounding it.  For those of you making plans to come out to the next event here let me give you some words of advice.  Bring hiking shoes!

The track itself is 2.238 miles long, but has a series of elevation changes that lead up to the infamous “Cork Screw”, and man is it a hike and a half!  I must have walked the track at least 4 times throughout the weekend and I can confidently say that it seems a lot shorter in Gran-Turismo.  So I hope you enjoy some of the shots I got.
