Best of the Best: Corey Brosk’s 2010 Nissan GT-R

The more you look, the more modifications you notice. The one-off chrome intake manifold definitely steals the show, but the carbon fiber pieces, the Twin Tial QRJ blow off valves, and the Alpha front strut tower bar aren’t wanting for rarity or quality either.

Sitting on top of the modified head is a ported and polished one off intake manifold finished in a perfect chrome polish. Under the chrome intake lurks an AMS Alpha fuel rail, pouring fuel through oversized 1700cc Injector Dynamics injectors. An Alpha Performance R35 GT-R Omega Brushless fuel pump system and a Fuel Labs fuel pressure regulator round out the fuel delivery system.

 

This close up of the Shocker yellow piping and Tial Blow-off valve is something that could be featured in a modern art exhibit. Did you notice the carbon fiber engine cover lurking in the background?

Increased fuel means increased boost. Corey swapped out the stock turbo and manifold to a pair of top of the line TSM internally wastegated Pro Eight turbochargers. A matching pair of Tial QRJ blow off valves sit on top of Buschur short piping that has been powdercoated a dramatic Shocker Yellow by Dylan's Powdercoating. A matching Buschur Intercooler keeps cold the air flowing and the turbos happy.

 

The carbon fiber duckbill trunk lid will make even the most jaded car enthusiast perform a double take.

Handling the upgraded power output is a ShepTrans Stage 2 transmission. This complete overhaul package is packed full of Dodson and ShepTrans upgrades capable of translating the almost doubled power output from the modified engine. A 2015 GT-R bellhousing has also been added to address a nagging stock bearing issue. T1 upper and lower transmission braces keep the the transmission from literally tearing itself apart when launching with drag slicks.

 

If you see a pair of Hoosier slicks this big, on Alpha rims, prepare for nines… or prepare for losses… Your choice.
