BPG’s BNR32 Skyline GT-R Time Attack Special

,

When we were shooting the car in the garage, it was removed for transport but on the track, the car uses a custom carbon fiber rear diffuser.

The front end with this custom carbon fiber splitter and canards was all made by the team. The car has a tidy tastefully modified street car look to it. In previous years the car had a stock rear wing and front end.
The car’s interior is very tidy with custom carbon fiber door panels and dash reducing weight while looking awesome.  A very inclusive cage ties the chassis together and gives the driver a lot of protection.
A Motec CDL3 dash/data logger is used as the main display.  The sequential shifter rows a Holinger 6 speed dog box that is fed by an OS Giken triple plate clutch.  A lightweight 1 piece driveshaft brings power to the Tomei 3.69 ring and pinion and the Tomei 1.5 way LSD rear differential.  The front differential is a Quaife gear type LSD. The Motec M600 ECU helps control shifts with automatic torque cut during shifts.
Surprisingly the car uses stock pedals and hydraulics.  No dual master cylinders and balance bars here.
The interior is full of nice carbon bits like this switch panel.
