Ciao Bella: Part 2 – More Italian F1 GP, Rally cars, AMG Driving Academy, and more!

Check out the side splitter, which is a huge piece of carbon.

This is a close-up of the front-right suspension.

Tucked behind the OZ wheel we can see Brembo calipers, which are stopping no less than five Formula 1 teams this year.

This is the CItroen WRC rally racer that was driven by the 8-time World Motocross champion, Tony Cairoli, in the 2014 Monza Rally Show.  While nearly 100 entrants from various walks of Motorsport life went there to compete, Carioli finshed an impressive 6th, and would have been in the top 5 had it not been for a 15-second penalty.

For reference, 9-time Moto GP champion Valentino Rossi finished 2nd and ex F1 driver Robert Kubica was the Monza Rally Show champion.  While nearly all the entrants were European (mostly of Italian decent), we did have two well-known American drivers in the lineup—Ken Block and Kurt Busch—who finished 29th and 33rd, respectively.

Thank goodness these cars don’t need much rear visibility.
