Random Questions!!

What was your first car?

A 1996 Jeep Cherokee. My dad wouldn’t let me have the 4 wheel drive one but I sure did take that Jeep where it shouldn’t have been with just 2 wheel drive!

What is your dream car?

A Subaru WRX STI, fully prepped to go and race rally car.

Action shot during the 2011 season.

What is your Daily?

2006 Mazda 3, the “Trophy Mazda”.

What was your last meal?

A bagel with cream cheese and a hot chocolate. I’m at a race right now and it was freezing out so I had to keep my hands warm!

What type of music gets you pumped up to race?

METALLICA!

The #11 ICON Vehicle Dynamics Mini Stock.

What is the most gnarly thing you've ever done, in or out of a car?

This year at the SNORE 2011 Rage at the River, I was co driving in Sean Kepler's prerunner and in the 3rd lap we lost the transmission which turned into a fire that filled the cab. Trying to get a 5-point seat belt is like difficult when you are in a panic but we both got out safely and had to extinguish the fire. From doing 100 mph to a fire and having to jump out is super intense.

What do you do for your 9-5?

I’m in college currently majoring in Nutritional Sciences so that is a full time job! I just applied to finish my Bachelor’s degree at Cal Poly Pomona so keep your fingers crossed for me.

What type of hobbies do you have outside of racing?

I am up for anything. I love to travel especially in the Southwestern part of the US, ride my dirt bike, go to the beach, explore points of interest in the desert, wakeboard, and camp as well. I just like to stay active.

I know you love dogs, what type of pets do you have currently?

My little mutt Reece! I bring him to all of the races and camping with me too. I think he is a beagle, Chihuahua or as I call him, a Bewahwah. I also have a big, lazy cat named  Baja.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a whale trainer and swim with Shamu at Sea World!

Stoked on her first win!

Do you follow other racing series? If so, which ones?

I am a huge motocross enthusiast so I go to/watch Supercross and the Outdoor Motorcross Series. I keep up with the big Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, Best in the Desert, and SCORE as well.

MotoIQ would like to say a big “Thank You!” for doing this interview with us, is there anyone that you'd like to say “Thank You” to?

Thanks so much MotoIQ for interviewing me! I would like to say a big thank you to ICON Vehicle Dynamics for helping me get on track with my rookie year and all of the help. Tim at DMZ, I would have not won my championship if it wasn't for you and Sean Kepler for being my biggest fan along with being my crew chief. Thank you to my team and all the sponsors that are continuing with me for the 2012 season. Xoxo

Andrea and her crew chief, Sean Kepler.
