Fear and Loathing in Bonneville (My Trip to Speedweek)

OK this looks super awkward…  We were installing the water tank for the air to liquid intercooler at this point.  We were rolling the car off the trailer and decided it would save some time to work right like this before getting out the jackstands.
Stephen Quinn makes some last minute wiring adjustments.  Stephen built the car's entire wiring harness.  The car ran at this point but the tach didn't work due to incompatibility between the tach and the multi coil SR20DET ignition.  Stephen was wiring up an Autometer tach adaptor at this point I think, he had to do this before the IC tank could be fully installed so we would not trip over each other.
Chuck and Chris install the water tank and attendant plumbing.  This would hold 25 gallons of water and ice to keep the Spearco air to liquid intercooler cold.  The weight helps traction and stability in LSR racing.
The car is actually quite complicated.  The insides are pretty full with the water tank and two 10 lb fire systems.  Fire is a big issue in land speed racing as wind blast can really contribute to fire damage.  You can also be several minutes from getting any sort of help out on the salt.  The car has two 10 lb halon systems, one for the engine the second for the driver.  The car is well laid out but some of the wiring has to be finalized.
Chris and Chuck tighten the remote oil filter lines and HPS T-bolt clamps on the intercooler plumbing.
Stephen uses the laptop to program the Innovate MTX-D Dual Function digital gauges.
