The G-Stream wing has become the go-to rear wing for road racing Mustangs.
It's no wonder as its angle of attack is adjustable and the wing is made of carbon fiber. What’s most interesting about it is that it has a very minimal penalty when it comes to aero drag. It also is able to provide downforce at just 40 miles per hour.
When it comes to carbon fiber parts for the Mustang there is something people quickly realize when they do their shopping; they aren’t really made for saving weight. Carbon parts for the Mustang are really just there for looks. However, there is a manufacturer of carbon fiber body panels for the Mustang and that is Tiger Racing.
Tiger Racing, if you’re unfamiliar, was the team that backed Paul Brown in the EBay Ford Mustang that campaigned in the World Challenge series GT Class. They also worked very closely with K&N, so when it came time to source those carbon parts, Dave made the call to Tiger Racing, which is now known as Paul Brown Racing in memory of the late driver.
The louvers in the hood are for heat extraction, just like a proper race car. The crew also blocked off the cowl opening to ensure that the heat and air flows out of those louvers, making them that much more effective.
