Any modern, turbocharged performance 4-banger uses a twin-scroll turbo. The Honeywell turbo on the 2.3L Ecoboost also has the full back disk on the turbine wheel. Looking at the outlet it appears the turbine housing is 0.81 A/R.
The wastegate flapper has two pins on it to prevent rotation.

I don’t have cable TV, so I’ve never heard of this Ecosport thing. I’m guessing Ford is running commercials on it at least.

 

This Ford Fusion is a plug-in hybrid. Better get used to seeing more cars come this way in the next decade.
A naturally-aspirated 4-banger provides the internal combustion power. More engine parts these days are being made of plastic such as with the intake manifold and valve cover. It’s all about cost and weight reduction with modern plastics replacing aluminum and steel. The intake cam has a wide range of adjustment to allow this engine to run the Atkinson cycle by using late intake valve closing to improve efficiency.
