I am a little confused because I see an electric motor on the steering rack, but I see that the hydraulic power steering pump system is still in place. Perhaps the team ran out of time before WTAC 2012 (when this picture was taken) since the motor does not appear to be electrically connected. The AP Racing pedal assemblies are very nice parts. There's a linear potentiometer on the back of the throttle pedal. I'm going to guess that is for the accelerator pedal input for the drive by wire throttle control. Most systems use an OE type sensor with two position sensors in it. By cross checking these two position sensors, the ECU can ensure there is no stuck throttle or a range error in the system and prevent unintended acceleration.
