Porsche Rennsport Reunion Event Coverage

The RUF CTR2 Sport, packed with 580 horsepower, and ready to hit 215 MPH!  This is a very rare car, one of only two ever made.

I wonder where the 4 air ducts lead to. Turbos? Brakes? What else? Drool…

Being 1 of 15 made, and one of 2 to have the competition package with its integrated roll cage, it’s quite a rare sight to see.  This is likely the “Blackbird” of my choice. The car was originally brought to the USA to compete at Pikes Peak but it was rever raced and sold right after the event.

The RUF CTR3 Clubsport is a 236MPH monster! The front features a 997.1 Turbo front end.

The rear features a Cayman 987 rear end supporting 777 horsepower and 723 lb -ft of torque!  Do you think this car is worth over $1 million dollars?

The RWB – RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF meaning “Rough World” is a Porsche 993s personally built by Nakai-san.

Among all the cars on display, there were vendor booths as well.  We stopped by the JRZ / Tarrett booth and saw a unique active sway bar that you can adjust on the fly with a lever mounted next to your shifter.  We’re assuming the stiffness of the swaybar is adjusted by the thickness of the blade depending on its angle.  Scroll right to see the lever mount. Our upcoming Cayman S project will see a whole bunch of Tarrett parts!

We stopped by the Antigravity Batteries booth where this battery weight only 11.1 lbs!  It’s so lightweight that you could lift it with your finger!

  1. I designed a 3 way adjustable sway bar with a MTB front derailleur shifter. It was super simple linkage, that works great. But it was an SAE car, so it was only 400lbs.

  2. You guys should look into Lite Blox Battery, (made in Germany). Their heaviest battery weighs 2.6Kg./ 5.72lbs. The technology in their battery put to shame big named companies.
Great article but that RWB doesn’t belong on here.
